Brief Description
The vision of the government of Rwanda is to recognize the centrality of mainstreaming gender equality and empowerment of women in national development. The National Strategy for Transformation (NST1) is one such stategic document the reflects this vision. Specifically, the NST1 emphasizes on:
- women's access to finance;
- creation of decent jobs;
- scaling up early childhood development programs;
- fighting Gender Based Violence (GBV), human trafficking; and
- strengthening institutions promoting gender equality and empowerment of women and girls.
